Dandelion — Wishes brought to you —
Unlike many other dating sims where character interactions steer the narrative along with stat management, Dandelion is mostly focused on stat raising in order to pass game checks to progress the story. Thus Stat Management is extremely important in order to complete the character routes.
Gameplay consists of choosing activities that will increase your 3 main stats while keeping your Stress and Pressure under control. While performing these activities, you may encounter characters to interact with. These interactions may increase your relationship points with the individual characters. Maxing your relationship points while raising your 3 main stats high enough to satisfy the requirements for the characters is the key to getting through the game.
Some tips to keep in mind as you play.
- Check the character status sheets regularly to make sure you are keeping up with all stat requirements for your chosen character.
Try to max out the relationship points and stat requirements with your chosen character as soon as possible to avoid failing stat checks.
Use Quick Save/Load often, especially before you interact with a character or go on a date. If you are unsuccessful in your interaction, Quick Load and try again.
If you are already in the character interaction screen and need to Quick Save, choosing the «Gift» option will bring up the inventory UI. Hitting «Escape» here will open up the game menu where you can Quick Save before proceeding.
Quick Load will often shuffle where the characters are located on the house map. If you need to encounter a character alone to minimize interacting with someone else, or need that character in a room so you can interact with him while performing a specific activity, Quick Loading a few times may help.
Level up your Pressure and Stress Relief as much as possible during the first 3 game months. This will help keep the stats under control later on as you concentrate on raising your beneficial stats to meet character requirements.
Purchase Vision Improvement Medication during the first 3 game months to bring your eyesight to at least 0.5. This will increase your ability to find character stamps as well as other useful items while searching on dates.
You should aim to collect at minimum 30 stamps for each character in order to unlock the bonus images in the Special menu.
Although gifts increase relationship points, you will often get more benefit from direct interaction with the characters. Saving your money for stat boost items or vision pills may be more efficient.
Books are cheaper if you shop while on a date, however you can sell them back at full price! You can make a few dollars doing this from time to time.
Having a few trash items in your inventory can come in handy if you enter an interaction with a character you do not want to raise relationship points with and you forgot to Quick Save.
Each of the 5 obtainable characters have specific stat requirements in order to continue in his story route. These requirements can be viewed by going into the Menu and selecting «Status». Selecting a specific character will show you if the stat requirements have been satisfied for him at that point in the game. These requirements will increase as you progress through the year. If any one of these requirements are not met when you hit one of the many stat checks, you will get a Bad Ending. You can level stats through both activities and consuming items.
Each activity you perform will raise one or more of your 3 main stats while possibly raising or lowering your Stress and/or Pressure. The amount the stat is raised may vary and not all activities are available to you at the beginning of a new game; many must be purchased by leveling up your Heart Gauge. Activities denoted with an asterisk * are available by default.

Many items can be used to increase your stats or lower your Stress and Pressure. These items can either be purchased in the Store and Bookstore, found randomly while choosing the «Search» option while on dates, or picked up while working at the Art Gallery. Characters may also gift you items, some of which are consumable and increase your stats. These items are located in Heejung’s purse on her status screen.
Bookstore
- Reference Book (Novice) — Decreases Pressure Slightly
- Reference Book (Intermediate) — Decreases Pressure Moderately
- Refrence Book (Advanced) — Decreases Pressure Greatly
- Art for Beginners — Increases Art Skill Slightly
- Becoming an Artist — Increases Art Skill Moderately
- 110 Works of Art — Increases Art Skill Greatly
Store
- Economical Cosmetics — Increases Beauty Slightly
- Decent Cosmetics — Increases Beauty Moderately
- Fancy Cosmetics — Increases Beauty Greatly
- Pick-Me-Up — Decreases Stress Greatly
- Vision Improvement Medication — Increases your eyesight by 0.1 point.
Activities have a chance to increase your Heart Gauge as does successfully interacting with a character. Character interactions increase the gauge greatly, so it is encouraged to interact with the character you are pursuing as often as possible to fill up your gauge more quickly. Even if a character interaction does not trigger, if he is in the room, your Gauge has a chance to greatly increase, so it’s best to perform activities near the characters you are pursuing. Once the Heart Gauge is full, you can purchase new activities or level up your Stress or Pressure Relief.
Note: Click on the flashing heart on the top of the Heart Gauge to open up the Activity Purchase Menu.
Along with satisfying stat requirements for your selected character, you must also level his relationship points/hearts. This is accomplished through character interactions, gift giving and dates.
Each guy will start off with 0/7 by their portrait. As you have favorable interactions, gift items he likes and go on successful dates, the number will gradually increase until it hits 7/7. Unfavorable interactions can reduce points, so make sure to Quick Save before selecting an interaction in case he does not enjoy it.
Once you pass certain story checkpoints, the meter will be increased and you will have to once again work to max out points and earn additional hearts with your chosen guy until you have a total of 150/150 relationship points and 5 hearts by the end of the game. If you do not have max relationship when specific story events are to occur, you will get a bad ending. These dates vary with each character’s route, so it’s important to max relationship points early on.
Note: You must mouse over the character portrait to view his current relationship points.
You will ocassionally enter into character interactions while performing the different activities at home. Certain activities will have an increased chance of starting an interaction with specific characters; these activities are usually something that the character has an interest in.
Once you are in the interaction screen, you are given options to interact with the character. If you are successful, you will increase relationship points with that character. Unfavorable interactions can decrease points, so make sure to Quick Save often so you can Load and try again if you fail. Some of the more advanced interaction options may not give you favorable results until you’ve leveled enough relationship points with the character you are pursuing. Once you are high enough, you can use these options to great affect.
You may also gift items to the characters in the interaction screen by clicking the giftbox icon on the top of the UI. This will open your inventory where you can click on an item and drag it to the character.
Stamps are chibi images of the characters that you can find while searching on dates. These are used to unlock bonus images (sketches and a new character CG) after you finish the game. Leveling your Eyesight by purchasing Vision Improvement Medication at the Store is the best way to increase the number of stamps you find along with other useful items. You want Eyesight to be at least 0.5 to make stamp collecting much easier.
You must get a Good Ending in one complete game to have the stamps you found be usable to unlock bonus images. If you start from a previous save, perhaps one that you originally had gotten a bad ending or you restarted from a common route save, you can not earn any additional stamps from that game. So it is best to try and get 30 stamps (enough to buy both sketch and CG) for the character you are pursuing in one full game.
Jisoo is one of the tougher routes to successfully complete as it requires stringent stat management since his requirements are much higher than the other guys.
You will want to concentrate on getting Heejung’s Art Skill as high as possible as well as keeping Beauty and Femininty moderately leveled. Art Skill must be at least 20 and Beauty/Feminity about 15 each by the end of May. You should aim for at least 30 Jisoo stamps (enough to buy all bonus images) and not have any hearts leveled with the other guys.
Keep up with Jisoo’s stat requirements as needed. After the animals have transformed into humans, continue leveling up hearts with Jisoo, but level 1 heart with Jihae as well before 11/24. You’ll know if you are on the right track if you get the kitchen event scene on that day. Jisoo’s bad ending occurs on 2/2.

Purchasing the bikini and wearing it for Jisoo at the beach is a good way to increase relationship points with him in the latter half of the game, not to mention seeing Jisoo’s interesting comments and reactions.
Jihae can be a little tricky as you need to fit in activities with Jieun while keeping up with Jihae’s requirements. They are both usually away or at home at the same time, so you need to manage your time wisely between the two.
You want to concentrate on Heejung’s Art Skill early and keep Beauty moderately leveled (Femininity should be inherently high since most activities that have you interact with Jihae increase it). Art Skill must be at least 16 and Beauty about 12 by the end of May. You should aim for at least 30 Jihae stamps (enough to buy all bonus images) and have at minimum 1 heart with Jieun.
Keep up with Jihae’s stat requirements as needed. After the animals have transformed into humans, continue leveling up relationship points with Jihae, but do not level any with Jieun. You’ll know if you are on the right track if you take the job offer on 1/26. Jihae’s bad ending occurs on 3/22.

Jihae is so polite, it’s sometimes hard to tell if your interaction on dates is actually positive or not. Always make sure to Quick Save before you respond to him. If you did not receive any relationship points, Quick Load and try the other option.

Raising Jiwoo’s required stats early on can be a little difficult as he is rarely in rooms with activities that allow you to raise your Beauty and Femininity while still interacting with him. Things get much easier later into the game.
You want to concentrate on Heejung’s Femininity and Beauty in the beginning as Jiwoo is mostly found in the Bedroom and Living Room with activites that are Art Skill related. Once you buy the Dress Up, Watch Soap Operas & Read Harlequin Novel activities, leveling Beauty will be much easier, but you’ll still need to find time to fit in activites that raise Femininity. Despite the juggle, his stat requirements are pretty low so you shouldn’t have trouble keeping up if you manage your time wisely. You should aim for at least 30 Jiwoo stamps (enough to buy all bonus images) and have no hearts with the other guys.
This is a rather difficult ending route to get, but is indeed possible. You’ll need 100 relationship points with Jiwoo and 80 points with one other character by mid-December. You should then level 1 heart with each of the other guys by 1/25. Jiwoo’s bad ending occurs on 2/25.

Jiwoo doesn’t eat meat, so always choose vegetarian items when on dates.
Make sure to Quick Save before date choices; the answer that will give you a favorable response isn’t always obvious with him.
You’ll end up with quite a bit of money on Jiwoo’s route. Trying different gifts is a good way to spend a little of that cash.

Jiyeon’s route is pretty easy to manage, although you’ll need to do a bit of work early on to make sure you have enough stamps by the end of his route.
Jiyeon’s relationship meter is higher than the other characters at the start of the game, so you’ll definitely want to max out his points as quickly as possible. Controlling your Pressure can be a bit of a challenge as most activities that have an increased chance of interacting with him also increase it greatly. Try to level up your Pressure Relief, make some time to Study, or pick up Reference Books at the bookstore if you can manage the extra cash. It’s important to purchase Vision Pills and level your Eyesight to at least 0.5 as soon as possible as you’ll need to find most of his stamps before 1/1 since you won’t be able to date him for a good while after that. After 2/1, he stops showing up in the house at all until 4/17, so have his relationship maxed at that point. Jiyeon’s stat requirements are pretty low; meeting them all by the end of May should be easily doable. You should aim for at least 30 Jiyeon stamps (enough to buy all bonus images).
Keep up with Jiyeon’s stat requirements as needed. Once you get him to 113 relationship points, stop raising any more with him for the remainder of the game. If Heejae asks you to be his girlfriend on 4/16, you’re on the right path. Jiyeon’s bad ending occurs on 4/25.

You’ll end up with A LOT of money on Jiyeon’s route (assuming you spend the weekends working while he’s gone). Trying different gifts is a good way to spend a little of that cash.
Purchasing the bikini and wearing it for Jiyeon at the beach is a good way to increase reputation points with him in the last 2 months of the game.
Jieun can be a bit difficult to handle in the beginning due to him being hard to approach. Once you get onto his route, things ease up quite a bit.
You want to concentrate on Heejung’s Art Skill and Beauty early as most of the activities that have an increased chance of interacting with Jieun are Femininity related. Jieun’s stat requirements are a bit higher than the other guys at the beginning of the game; make sure to check them often. He’s very shy, so you’ll need to get his relationship points maxed before some of the more advanced interactions will work on him. You should aim for at least 30 Jieun stamps (enough to buy all bonus images) and have at minimum 1 heart with Jihae by 2/15.
Jieun does not have a bad ending route, so you should be able to collect all CGs and Memories by finishing his good ending.

Jieun is the only character that wearing the Bikini for really doesn’t do much. If you’re curious of his reaction, certainly try it out. Otherwise, it may be better to save the cash for gifts and stat boost items.
Gifting Jieun the Growth Medicine during the last 3 game months will actually anger rather than please him and you will lose relationship points. So if you’re thinking of gifting him this particularly pricey gift, do it early on if at all possible.
A Bonus Chapter that explains the background of the entire story is unlocked in the «Bonus» menu upon completing the Good Ending routes for all 5 characters. Reading through this chapter will add an additional CG in your gallery.
